Glorietta!

 The Jubilee Choir from Southern Hills Baptist Church spent a wonderful week at Glorietta, located in Sante Fe New Mexico.  We could not have made it during the week without our Golf Cart providers.  Pictured with me are Ted and his wife, Linda, from Tyler, TX.

The last two days were spent in Albuquerque at the Balloon Fiesta!  The scooters came in handy for us Senior Citizens (Linda Meyers, Tammy Flowers and myself.).

Oklahoma Opry

 Oklahoma Opry was a big success!  I hosted the Opry on September 19th in Bricktown at the ACM @ UCO.  It was a sold-out crowd, and they were magnificent!  I had friends from Southeast and Capital Hill High School and friends from Shawnee and Arkansas. We also celebrated little Hannah's 6th birthday.

Busy Month So Far...

    April has been filled with lunches, dinners, and Concerts.  It was a privilege to attend two events honoring Oklahoma's own Bryan White.  The first event was a dinner for Bryan and Erika at OCU. The following day Bryan was honored at the Pathmaker Awards Ceremony.  Both events were wonderful.

   Then I had the privilege to perform my "I Make God Laugh" concert at Oakridge Church of Christ Ladies' retreat.  I met a new friend at Bryan's event at OCU. Her name is Donna Higley from Shawnee.  She attended the Ladies Retreat to hear my program based on Proverbs 31.  What a wonderful week it has been.  Donna bought some of my boots, and she looks darling in them!

Double Trouble at Hidden Trails Country Club

 It was a sellout show for me and Melanie on February 23rd.  WEJ Productions hosted this event and it was a total success.  We filled the place with laughter and song and stories of our growing up and all the things we have in common.  (Melanie and I have often been mistaken for one another.  

We plan on repeating this show in September so mark your calendar now.  September 20,2024 at 7:00 pm.  We will call this show DOUBLE TROUBLE ENCORE PERFORMANCE!  Hope to see you then.

Hidden Trails Country Club is located at 6501 S. Country Club Drive.  (Formerly known as Willow Creek).

                            

 WEJ Presents our Veterans Show on November 10th at Hidden Trails Country Club.  Doors open at 6:00, dinner starts at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:00pm.

 

The "Pink Show" at the Hidden Trails Country Club was a real success.  Our show benefited the support group "Project 31" which helps women with Breast Cancer cope with the changes in their lives.  I was featured in this show along with my friends Amy Stowe and Melanie Judkins.  

Please make our Dinner Shows a must-see on your calendar!  The show will be on November 10th and it will honor our Veterans.

       Watch for the announcement of my October 12th show at Hidden Trails Country Club to benefit Breast Cancer Awareness!

Sept 23rd at our temporary location ACM at UCO.  They are located in Bricktown right on the canal.  Our new building is right next door being renovated.  Hope to see you at the show!

Vocal Majority at SHBC

 I am totally in awe of this group!  I had never heard them before tonight.  What a wonderful Concert!  Hopefully, you can pull up their concert on our website at Southern Hills Baptist Church.   

Ladies Tea Covenant Fellowship Church

 

My precious Friend Melanie Judkins was one of the hostesses at our Ladies' Tea today.  What a wonderful time we had!  Thank you for allowing me to sing and share my testimony thru the scriptures in Proverbs 31.  "And God Laughed" was the theme of my concert and it was well received.   Laughter truly is a good medicine and God blessed.

 Great show tonight at the Oklahoma Opry!  Just a few more shows and we will be moving to a new location as we await our new permanent home in Bricktown on the Canal.  Stay tuned for more info!

Opry Heritage New Years Eve Eve show was a total SUCCESS!!!

                                 Darci Lynn brought the house down!  We raised $86,010.92!

The Gift of Christmas Prestonwood Baptist Church

 WOW!  That is all I can say about a wonderful night at Prestonwood Baptist Church for their annual Christmas Show.  If you have never seen this production you need to be there next year.  Here are a few pictures.  Above is the final scene with the Angel flying high above the Nativity. Oklahoma Opry's First Mask Singer Show was a huge success!

 

Opry Anniversary Show...45 years and going strong!

 

 Sweet memories with these friends (from left to right using maiden names) Donna Chambers, Patty Miller, Carolyn Badry, Jimell Badry, Sandra Hartman, and Darla Browder.  I went to High School and church with these girls and the couple pictured with us in the center were the Minister of Music and his wife from Western Hills Baptist Church.  The Badry's are moving from OKC to Colorado Springs to live with their son Jay and wife Becky.  Sunday was a going away lunch in their honor and the girls came to surprise them.  We were all in Jimell's youth choir from 1965-66.  I will miss them so much.

Best wishes and prayers as they make this move and enjoy Colorado and their family.  

Rodeo Opry...now officially the Oklahoma Opry!

 I'll be a part of the Oklahoma Opry this Saturday night for our 50' - 60's show.  Owen Pickard will be the emcee and I will share 3 of my favorite golden oldies.  Hope to see you there. Show time 7:00 pm.

Fox 55th High School Reunion

 Had a wonderful time entertaining the Fox High School Class of '67 55-year reunion.  Helping with the entertainment was my buddy |Owen Pickard.  Thank you for the excellent food and fellowship!
